Quick answers about what the CGM Simulator Platform is, who it’s for, and how to get started. Still stuck? Visit our Contact page.
It’s an educational tool that generates realistic continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) data and lets clinical teams explore it — including glucose charts, time-in-range and other glycemic metrics, and relevant diabetes research. It’s designed for training and demonstration, not for managing real patient care.
No. The Platform is not a medical device and must not be used for clinical decision-making. Please don’t enter real, identifiable patient health information — the patient records here are meant to be simulated or de-identified for instructional use.
Access is organized by hospital and by role: site administrator, hospital administrator, doctor, nurse, and patient. Each role sees only the data and tools appropriate to it — for example, clinical staff manage patients and readings, while patients see only their own record.
You can register a new hospital (which creates the first hospital administrator), or register under an existing hospital using its hospital code. Self-registrations are reviewed before access is granted, and administrators can also create accounts directly for their team.
New self-registrations start as pending until an administrator approves them. Your hospital or site administrator can approve the account; once approved, you’ll be able to sign in normally.
The simulator models a realistic day of glucose: a fasting baseline, the dawn phenomenon, post-meal spikes for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and an optional snack, and the dip from exercise — with patterns that vary by diabetes type. You control the basal level, interval, duration, start time, meals, and exercise hour, then preview the result or save it to the database.
Yes. You can drag an individual point to change its value, or use Select Range to choose a span of points (click the start, move, then double-click to set the range) and raise or lower the whole group at once — either by dragging inside the band or with the precise “Raise/Lower” buttons. Changes are collected as unsaved edits you can save to the database or discard.
The metrics panel shows standard CGM measures, including Time in Range (the percentage of readings within the target band), the Glucose Management Indicator (GMI), and the coefficient of variation (a measure of glucose variability), along with day/night breakdowns. These are provided for educational interpretation only.
The research panel surfaces clinical trials and papers relevant to a patient’s diabetes type, drawn from public sources, plus a curated set of standards and guidelines. Results are cached to keep things fast, and links open the original source.
Your hospital or site administrator can issue a temporary password. After signing in with it, you’ll be prompted to choose a new password before continuing. For security, the temporary password is generated automatically and sent to you — administrators don’t see it.

The Platform works in current versions of major browsers — Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge. For the best experience with the interactive chart, use an up-to-date desktop browser.
This Platform is for educational and demonstration purposes only and is not a medical device. Do not enter real, identifiable patient health information.
